Career Prospects | |
The course will provide both an academically demanding experience and one which should be of significant practical use in your future career. The ability to work across different cultures, manage teams and demonstrate problem-solving and critical analysis skills are key competencies in the changing professional policing landscape. During the course, you should gain practical leadership skills to critically evaluate and develop solutions for the types of complex, inter-related, multi-faceted problems faced by senior policing practitioners. The MPA’s professional benefit is that it can be implemented across all levels in an organization, and build strategic capacity not only in you but also underpin change and reform in leadership, policy formulation and effective operational delivery within your organization. At a strategic level, the MPA can allow an already experienced leader to test his/her organizational vision and experiment with alternative strategies to plan the future direction of the organization. At an operational level, the MPA can enable a higher potential leader to cultivate the intellectual skills required to develop strategy, and to develop the practical skills needed to implement strategy at the executive level. At this level, the course supports delegates looking to apply for higher potential development initiatives or possible direct entry into the executive ranks of the organization. At the level of implementation, the course will stimulate individuals with the drive and ambition to seek fast track promotion in their organization. |
